Every Weekday Morning, Onna took the Bus to Work.
Echo always rode with her.

There Once Was a Girl named Onna Maunaputrapadi.
Her friends called her 'Onna Mauna' for short.
Onna Mauna worked at the Columbus Zoo.
She was an Assistant Zookeeper.
She fed the troopical birds and cleaned their cages.
Onna also exercised the birds daily.

She let them out of their cages.

The birds flew away and the birds flew back.
One of the birds, named Echo, had a broken wing.
He could not fly, so Onna took special care of Echo.
Wherever Onna went, Echo went, too.
She named him Echo because he repeated everything he heard.
When trains whistled, Echo whistled.
"Whoot! Whoot! Whoot!"
When car horns honked, Echo honked.
"Honk! Honk Honk!"
When cats purred, Echo purred.
"Meow! Meow! Meow!"
Echo loved travelling with Onna.
One day, they went to the Zookeeper's Office.
Miss Freeman was the Zookeeper's name.
"Hello, Onna," greeted Miss Freeman.
"Hello!"
"Hello!" said Echo.
"How are you, Echo?"
"How are you, Echo?" the bird replied.
Miss Freeman and Onna chuckled.
"A Macaw should caw," said Miss Freeman.
Echo sat guietly on Onna's wrist.
"Caw! Caw!" said Miss Freeman.
"Caw! Caw!" replied Freeman.
And even though Echo liked to whistle.
"Whoot! Whoot! Whoot!"
And Echo liked to honk.
"Honk! Honk! Honk!"
And Echo liked to purr.
"Meow! Meow! Meow!"
There was one sound that Echo liked to make best.
"Caw! Caw! Caw!"
Because the Macaw goes
"Caw! Caw! Caw!"
